The love in your eyes

shines bright as you turned twice, 

devouring all of her

into your beating heart. 

Her fingers playing with a tendril of hair

that managed to escape.

As her skin burned

with the sensation of your sight on her,

she smiled away.

Finding her in discomfort,

the knight within you stepped forward.

While she ached to hold you tight

in the middle of a crowd.

Catching her eye

in the rearview mirror, 

he realized that the princess

does not always carry

a pretty hairdo but a ponytail too.

As she realized that

the prince does not always wear

shining armor but a sweatshirt and jeans.

Together they both realized that

fairytales do exist

and

aren't always rainbow and sunshine

but 

sometimes messy, weird, and complicated too.
